Oklahoma legislators form prayer caucus

About 60 Oklahoma lawmakers have joined an informal prayer caucus and will host a prayer service Monday morning before this year’s legislative session begins.

Before beginning a four-month exercise to discuss everything from cutting taxes to openly carrying guns, lawmakers are going to pray about it.

About 60 of the state’s sitting 145 legislators have indicated they will gather at 9:30 a.m. Monday on the second-floor rotunda of the state Capitol for an hourlong event of prayer and other activities.
