Oklahoma wrestling coach Mark Cody said the Sooners lacked confidence Sunday, and as a result, lost a 25-12 dual to No. 12-ranked Missouri in Columbia.

Missouri (12-2 overall, 3-1 Big 12) avenged a 19-18 loss to No. 10 OU earlier this season. The Sooners (12-3, 3-2) had only three winners Sunday — No. 3-ranked Kendric Maple at 141 pounds, No. 14 Matt Lester at 157 pounds, and unranked Bubby Graham at 165. Maple was the Sooners' only bonus-point victor when he pinned Nicholas Hucke at 6 minutes, 21 seconds.

The Tigers received a big win at 149 pounds. Unranked Kyle Bradley decisioned No. 11-ranked Nick Lester 2-0 in sudden victory. Bradley earned a takedown in overtime.

“Going into the dual, our staff felt very confident that we were going to come away with a win,” Cody said. “In our sport, like any other sport, you have to fight, scratch and claw for every point, and I didn't see that from our team in this competition. I do expect to see it going forward.”

Oklahoma travels to Ithaca, N.Y., to compete in the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals.
