After surrendering 42 points to San Antonio's Tony Parker, 39 points to Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge and 48 points to Golden State's Monta Ellis, the Thunder did not surrender more than 22 points to any player from Sacramento or Utah.

Was the three-game stretch of a player in or near the 40s cause for concern?

"It's a concern when there's a consistent problem in a game we can't solve," Thunder forward Nick Collison said. "That being said, there's a lot of guys in this league that can get it going. We've been pretty solid, pretty happy with our defense this year. Hopefully we can not let guys get off to such good starts to where they're really feeling it the whole game.

"I know as a bench player I really hate to see the guy I'm guarding to get it going because it's going to be a much tougher job."

All-Star coach Scott Brooks has been particularly complimentary of Russell Westbrook's mid-range jumper, which frequently has been on the mark this season.

"I've been working on that shot all summer," Westbrook said. "I'd be ashamed of myself not to shoot it."

A career 42.7-percent shooter from the field, Westbrook is shooting 46.6 percent this season. His 15 made field goals at Sacramento on Thursday night were a career-high.

No official word on which Thunder staff members will be joining Brooks, Westbrook and Kevin Durant in Orlando for All-Star Weekend. The NBA will pay hotel, travel, tickets, per diem, transportation, etc., for three assistants.

NBA coaches and their assistants receive the same payoffs as players for participating in the All-Star Game – $35,000 to each winner and $15,000 to the losers.
