Beginning in the mid-1990s, the Vans Warped Tour set a standard for punk mega-tours, crisscrossing North America each summer and providing a launchpad for Green Day, Blink-182, Eminem and No Doubt, all of whom performed alongside punk legends such as Pennywise, All, Bouncing Souls and Bad Religion. Director Stacy Peralta's “No Room for Rockstars,” a documentary about the 17-year-old touring show, chronicles the phenomenon and captures some of the best performances from the 2010 tour. “No Room for Rockstars” will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday at Harkins Bricktown 16, 150 E Reno in Bricktown. Produced by “Dogtown and Z-Boys” director Peralta and directed by Parris Patton, “No Room for Rockstars” attempts to capture the feeling of the tour experience rather than taking a historic approach, talking to fans, participants and musicians whose careers gained momentum after joining the tour.
