Prague never trailed Verdigris as it cruised past the Lady Cardinals in route to a 62-45 victory to become the first team to earn a berth to the Class 3A girls semifinals Thursday at Yukon High School.

The Lady Devils (26-1) never trailed in the game, leading 37-18 at halftime. Seven different players scored for Prague, including three treys from five-foot-seven senior guard Heather Farrill.

Verdigris (23-5) made a late run in the fourth quarter, cutting Prague's lead to 14 points. But its late surge was stifled with under five minutes left to play when a well-timed layup from junior center Whitney Stotler entered the basket.

Prague meets Sulphur at 6 p.m. Friday at Yukon High School.
