Class 3A girls basketball: Teanna Reid's basket gives Millwood win over Adair

— Millwood managed a win after junior point guard Teanna Reid drove the length of the floor with 9.3 seconds left to play and sunk the game-winning basket to give the Falcons a 61-60 win over Adair on Thursday afternoon at Yukon High School in the Class 3A girls quarterfinals. Reid finished the game with 19 points, including four 3-pointers.

The Warriors led Millwood through three quarters, 39-38. Guards Kylee Looney and Holly Pippin each scored in double figures, helping Adair establish a 23-19 lead against the Falcons at halftime.

Reid ignited the Millwood offense with 10 points in the third quarter. She and the Falcons received help from six-foot senior Quira Demery, who scored 10 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter.

Millwood will play Kansas at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Yukon.
