What's happening with the Big 12's other programs:
Baylor: The Bears are the league's hottest team, winning eight straight, including six in a row in the conference. They're off to the best Big 12 start in program history. Now, they've gotten some home cooking, too, set to host their third straight league home series this weekend against OSU.
Kansas: Since earning an NCAA Tournament bid in 2009, the Jayhawks have slipped, posting a losing record a year ago and seemingly on track for another this spring at 10-14 overall and 0-3 in the Big 12.
Kansas State: The Wildcats' 2-4 conference record is deceiving. The Cats have dropped series to A&M and Texas, yet claimed the Friday night showdowns against both ranked clubs.
Missouri: Tigers, heading on the road for the first time in Big 12 play, visits A&M in a battle of future SEC foes. It's the first meeting between the teams since A&M won the Big 12 Tournament on a walk-off homer in the 10th inning.
Texas: The Horns, to no one's surprise really, have picked themselves up after carrying a 7-8 record into conference play, going 5-1 against league foes — all on the road. In a departure from Big 12 play, Texas takes on 2011 College World Series club California in a four-game series in Round Rock this weekend.
