OU recruiting: Sooners get commitment from Florida running back

Delray Beach's Greg Bryant rushed for 2,180 yards as a junior.

Oklahoma picked up its third football commitment for 2013 Saturday, as Florida running back Greg Bryant made his commitment official.

Bryant (5-foot-11, 200 pounds) has offers from schools from around the country, including Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State and West Virginia.

Bryant plays for American Heritage School in Delray Beach, Fla. As a junior, he rushed for 2,180 yards and 25 touchdowns on 224 carries. He also had 272 yards and a pair of touchdowns on nine receptions.

Bryant is listed as a four-star recruit by and is No. 23 on the site's latest Rivals 100 list.

He joins Cypress Ranch (Texas) running back Keith Ford and Katy (Texas) defensive end Matt Dimon as Sooner commitments. All three have committed in the last month.

Bryant tweeted Friday night about spending time at Sooners receiver Kenny Stills' house.

After Bryant's commitment, Stills' tweeted, “Another commit for the trio.”

Stills, Tony Jefferson and Brennan Clay have been referred to as the “Cali trio.”

The group played a big part in OU's recruiting last year, helping sell the school to wide receiver Derrick Woods and junior college running back Damien Williams, among others.

Verbal commitments are nonbinding. The players can sign beginning Feb. 6.
