— Children dressed as their favorite Disney characters paraded across the stage at Catlett Music Center in a costume contest that set the mood for a concert celebrating all things Disney.

Almaan Jaffeny, 5, who came as Prince Ali from the movie “Aladdin,” won first prize and the honor of conducting a song alongside music director Jonathan Shames.

The Sunday concert was in conjunction with a Disney exhibit at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art at the University of Oklahoma.

The collaborative concert included performances by students from the School of Music, School of Musical Theatre and School of Art and Art History. During part of the concert, guests artists using iPad paintbrush software created spontaneous, original digital art influenced by the live music, which was projected onto big screens for the audience.

A reception at the art museum followed the concert.
