Naming rights at other parks

Newcastle Field at Bricktown will not be the first in the 16-team Pacific Coast League, in which the RedHawks compete, to have a name linked to a casino.

The Fresno (Calif.) Grizzlies play in Chukchansi Park, which is the name of a local tribe that operates the nearby Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino. The ballpark's logo shares elements of the casino's logo. Of the other 14 teams in the PCL, seven play in stadiums named after a corporate sponsor, four play in parks named after a person or family and three teams play in stadiums named after the team itself. Casinos have sponsorship deals with some of the teams that don't include stadium naming rights.
