The Midwest City Parks Department has announced the completion of renovations at Holoway Park, 720 Holoway Drive.

The park was closed for renovations through most of the winter months.

Doug Williams, supervisor of streets and parks, said the park's equipment has been updated featuring a new slide, swings and activity area. The playground also features soft rubber mulch.

In addition to the new equipment, the park has been expanded, and new trees have been planted.

At Kiwanis Park, 1101 S Midwest Blvd., the long-standing Tasty Snow snow cone stand has a new building. The stand opened March 30 to eager park patrons. The Tasty Snow stand in Joe B. Barnes Regional Park is scheduled to open this month.

The Midwest City Parks and Recreation department rents pavilions in Joe B. Barnes Regional Park, Kiwanis Park and Lions Park at rates of $7.50 to $15 per hour for birthday parties, family reunions and other functions.

To schedule a pavilion, call 739-1293.
