The Barons and Toronto Marlies (44-23-7) each have 95 standings points — but the Barons' winning percentage (.651) is slightly better than the Marlies (.642). ... The Barons released rookie defenseman Mike Marcou. ... Yann Danis of the Barons was named AHL Goaltender of the Year. The All-Star has a 25-13-2 record with a 2.13 goals against average going into this weekend. The honor is officially named the Baz Bastien Award.
