There are several ways to get help and give help after the weekend tornado in Oklahoma

Local officials, along with the American Red Cross and Salvation Army, are helping those affected by the Woodward tornado.

How to help and get help

If you need help after the Woodward tornado:

• The American Red Cross is operating a shelter at the Living Word Fellowship Church, 1310 Oklahoma Ave. Food, health services and a place to sleep are available.

• Water, tarps and other supplies are available at a bulk distribution center at the Woodward Church of Christ, 1315 W Hanks Trail.

• Red Cross mobile feeding trucks will be throughout the affected areas in Woodward offering food and supplies.

• Save receipts for any purchases because they will be required if federal assistance is granted.

• Woodward County Emergency Manager Matt Lehenbauer said the official way to donate money to help Woodward tornado victims is through the Thousand Hills Ranch Church Tornado Relief Fund. It's at the Bank of Western Oklahoma. Call the bank during business hours at (580) 254-5525.
