Participants in a Corkscrews and Canvas painting party at the Santa Fe Depot took home original works of art and helped the Performing Arts Studio raise money for its programs.

Artist Rick Fry provided guidance Thursday as the group produced landscape paintings to take home, munched on refreshments and sipped beverages provided by Native Spirits Winery.

Proceeds, which came from registration fees, will go toward funding the Performing Arts Studio's Summer Breeze and Winter Wind concert series, Sunday Jazz Concerts, Second Sunday Poetry Readings and gallery exhibitions.

The mission of the Performing Arts Studio is to create and present innovative fine arts programs for the enrichment and education of the Norman community.

For more information about the studio, call 307-9320 or go to www.pasnorman.org.
