The attorney, Scott Adams, revealed in an interview with The Oklahoman details about the unsolved case.
“Teddy is extremely emotional and this is driving him nuts and all he wants to do is find out who killed his wife,” the attorney said.
Their daughter, London, was 1 at the time of her mother's death. Adams said police had the DNA test done to rule out rumors about the case.
Julie Mitchell was beaten to death at her husband's Oklahoma City home Nov. 2, 2010. Her body was found in a closet where a safe was — her unharmed child beside her in a pool of blood.
Adams also revealed that police know Julie Mitchell still was alive early in the evening because new furniture was delivered to the house about 7:30 p.m.
Another attorney said last year about $30,000 was missing from the safe after the death. Adams said last week that not all of the money was taken from the safe.
“The door on the safe was a spring-activated door,” Adams said. “If you opened it and you were able to get in there and then you turned away and you were not holding that door open it would have shut and locked. So, I'm just guessing, someone could have reached in there, grabbed a wad of that money, pulled it out of there and not held the door, and then it shut.”
