Two deaths reported on Oklahoma roads

Two people are dead in Oklahoma crashes. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports the crashes.

Two people are dead in separate Tuesday crashes reported in Oklahoma.

Lewis Ragan, 44, of Van Buren, Ark.

Ragan was dead at the scene of a crash on Interstate 40 in Henryetta.

Ragan died of massive injuries, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Ragan was driving a tractor-trailer that went off the interstate for an unknown reason and struck a tree. The cab of the tractor-trailer caught fire, the patrol reports.

Ragan was not wearing a seat belt.

Christy Bennett, 33, of Holdenville.

Bennett was dead at the scene of a crash about 6:10 p.m. Tuesday 1.5 miles east of U.S. 377 on State Highway 56 in Seminole County.

Bennett was driving west on SH 56 when she drove a sport utility vehicle off the roadway and it overturned. She was dead from massive injuries. She did not wear a seat belt, the patrol reports. has disabled the comments for this article.
