Appreciating speaker who fearlessly addressed terrorism

Published: April 27, 2012

In response to Haroon Moghul (Your Views, April 21): I was the listener on the front row in Yukon who at the conclusion of Brigitte Gabriel's remarks leapt to the stage and gave her a hug of appreciation.

Moghul has credentials, but so do I. I actually heard Brigitte Gabriel speak. She told of her personal history fleeing terrorism. She held up documents of the Muslim Brotherhood's radical agenda going back to 1948 and read from them verbatim. She recited America's inept responses to terrorist attacks against the United States over 30 years. To several standing ovations she challenged political correctness, recounted weak-kneed political responses to terrorism, called for politicians to put America first and pleaded for a policy that will accept nothing less than winning the unrecognized war against terrorists worldwide who don't agree with their agenda.

It was encouraging to hear Brigitte Gabriel fearlessly speak truth. Americans are starved to hear someone defend America and not apologize for it. We're appalled by people criticizing every attempt to defend our right to simply exist in freedom!
