* It was a White Out at The Peake. Every fan received a white shirt that said “TEAM IS COMMUNITY” on the front. The arena full of white shirts looked great on TV.
* Former Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden had front-row courtside seats. The recent first-round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns was recognized on the Jumbotron. It was a nice gesture, if only they'd spelled his name correctly. It's W-E-E-D-E-N, not W-E-E-D-O-N.
* The throng watching the game outside The Peake continues to grow. A crowd of about 5,000 gathered on Reno Avenue to watch the game on the LED screen on the northwest corner of the building. That was double the crowd that showed up for Game 1.
* Spotted: Oklahoma offensive coordinator Josh Heupel, former Thunder player Desmond Mason, former Sooner defensive back Derrick Strait and Stanford football signee Barry Sanders. Also seen was Matt Donovan, who became the first hockey player born, raised and trained in Oklahoma to make the NHL when he was called up earlier this year by the New York Islanders.
* To the lady wearing the glasses and sitting courtside near the Mavs bench: watching you give Rick Carlisle and the refs the business was grand fun. If we had to guess, you've been a schoolteacher at some point in your life.
