Standing on the tee box, 110 yards from the hole at the Class 5A state golf tournament, Kaysi Morrison was unsure which club to hit.

The El Reno junior had hit a poor iron shot a hole earlier, but talked it over with her coach and settled on a 7 iron.

Then she promptly knocked the shot in for her first-ever hole-in-one, coming on No. 17 at Lincoln Park East.

“I was debating what to hit,” she said. “When I first hit it, I thought it was going into the sand trap. But it got over and rolled back to the hole.

“We were freaking out. It was crazy. We all cried. We were yelling and screaming. It was just crazy.”
