Artists, entertainers greet visitors to annual May Fair Festival in Norman

NORMAN — More than 100 artists joined entertainers, food vendors and hundreds of volunteers in staging the 38th annual May Fair Arts Festival at Andrews Park.

The one-day event on Saturday, sponsored by the Assistance League of Norman, placed special emphasis on children's art education, with student art show and hands-on arts activities in a Children's Art Yard. Children made a variety of items including etched glass ornaments and beaded bracelets.

All proceeds from the fair support the Assistance League's philanthropic programs, which include aid to the Women's Shelter and money for student school supplies.
