Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook was a defensive force in the first-round playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks. Here is a look at his top three defensive moments of the series:

GAME 1: GROUNDING THE JET

The folks in Dallas like to refer to Jason Eugene Terry by his initials, and early in Game 1, the JET soared. He made his first six shots. But from the midway point of the fourth quarter until the end of the game, Westbrook guarded him. Terry had only one touch on the offensive end and didn't attempt a shot during that final stretch.

Westbrook followed him everywhere and reduced him to observer status. There were several possessions late in the game where Terry just stood in the corner, waiting for the ball but looking like a kid who had been sent to timeout.

He never recovered either. Terry went 12 of 34 in the last three games of the series.

GAME 4: BACK-TO-BACK STEALS

With the Thunder clawing back from a 13-point deficit, Westbrook came up with back-to-back steals midway through the fourth quarter. They helped give Oklahoma City its first lead of the second half.
