Kevin Durant has been named to the All-NBA First Team for the third consecutive season, and Russell Westbrook earned Second Team honors for the second straight year.

Durant was joined on the First Team by LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul.

Westbrook was joined on the second team by Kevin Love, Blake Griffin, Andrew Bynum and Tony Parker.

The All-NBA Third Team consisted of Rajon Rondo, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Dirk Nowitzki and Tyson Chandler.

Durant received 117 of a possible 120 first-team votes from a panel of sports writers and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada to total 591 points. Durant trailed only James (118 first-team votes and 596 total points) in voting.

Players received five points for each first-team vote, three points for each second-team vote and one point for each third-team vote.

Westbrook garnered five first-team votes and totaled 239 points, edging Wade by four total points for Second Team.

Durant heads into his second straight Western Conference final playing the best ball he's ever played in the postseason.

The three-time scoring champ is averaging 26.7 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists. His scoring average is 1.9 points down from last year's playoffs, but he's shooting 48.8 percent from the field after shooting 44.9 percent last year. Durant also is shooting 36.7 percent from 3-point range after connecting on just 33.9 percent of his 3s last postseason.

Durant credited his improvement to letting the game come to him and not forcing the issue.

“It just allows me to also play hard on defense, get my teammates involved and just be efficient with my shots,” Durant said. “The shots I do get, if I miss them I can live with it because I think I'm getting good shots as opposed to if I miss three or four in a row trying to shoot myself back in the game.
