Lil Wayne got to see an Oklahoma City Thunder playoff game inside Chesapeake Energy Arena, after all.

The rapper was sitting courtside for Game 1 of the NBA Finals between OKC and the Miami Heat Tuesday night — after buying his own tickets, a Thunder spokesman told Yahoo! Sports.

Lil Wayne created a stir on Twitter and beyond when he tried to attend Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals game between the Thunder and San Antonio Spurs and sit courtside. The problem? Front-row tickets were sold out.

“Was going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena,” he tweeted that night. “Wow. Go Spurs.”

Lil Wayne was posing for photos with NBA super fan Jimmy Goldstein in between the first and second quarters.
