Hot and windy weather in central and northwest Oklahoma Tuesday

Temperatures will be near 89 degrees in central Oklahoma Tuesday. Winds will gust up to 36 mph.

Hot and windy weather is in the Tuesday forecast for northwest and central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Wind advisories have been issued for much of northwestern Oklahoma.

In central Oklahoma, winds will gust up to 36 mph. The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: Partly sunny with a high near 89. Windy with a south wind between 21 and 25 mph with gusts as high as 36 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 71. South wind between 18 and 23 mph with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a high near 89. South wind between 17 and 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 71. South wind 15 to 18 mph decreasing to between 7 and 10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 90. South wind between 6 and 9 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 72.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 92.

Friday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 73.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 95.

Saturday Night: Clear with a low around 73.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 96.

Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 74.

Monday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 97.
