The production features performances by students attending summer camps. The 81 cast members are between ages of 8 and 13 and primarily are from the metro area, with a few participants from Texas.

The young performers have been rehearsing with professionals for the musical show, which will feature flying characters, courtesy of Flying by Foy, the company that flies the Broadway and national tour productions of “The Wizard of Oz,” “Peter Pan” and “Mary Poppins,” said Jennifer Baker, the theater's executive director.

More than 700 young actors are participating in the theater's summer camp program, now in its 10th year, she said.

“These talented kids put on professional-level shows, complete with professionally designed sets, lighting, sound and costumes,” Baker said.

Tickets are $10. Group rates are available. For more information, call 321-9600 or 760-9053.
