Oklahoma State's air raid offense continues to lure the necessary components to keep it running.

The latest commitment, Dallas Skyline wide receiver Ra'Shaad Samples, announced his pledge Saturday night on ESPNU, becoming the third four-star Texas wideout OSU has lined up for its 2013 class. The other two are Fred Ross and Marcell Ateman.

Samples, a 6-foot, 175-pound speedster, is arguably the most coveted of the talented trio, holding scholarship offers from nearly all of the nation's top programs, including USC, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Texas.

But the receiver chose Oklahoma State, a program that's quickly becoming a magnet to premier wideouts.

Over the past five seasons, the Cowboys have had a future first-round pick running routes on Saturdays.

Starting in 2007, Dez Bryant had a productive freshman season, parlaying it into a breakout sophomore year, when he caught 87 balls for 1,480 yards and 19 touchdowns.

But after NCAA sanctions derailed Bryant's junior season, many thought the star power was gone. Instead, the inflated numbers only enhanced.

Justin Blackmon took over in 2010, putting together one of the most prolific two-year stretches in the sport's history, catching a combined 232 passes for 3,304 yards and 38 touchdowns. He won the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation's top receiver, both seasons.

And those appealing numbers, made possible by the Dana Holgorsen-implemented spread offense, have made OSU a popular landing spot, with young receivers hoping to be the next Blackmon or Bryant.

The newest batch, consisting of Ross, Ateman and now Samples (all considered top-40 wideouts nationally by Rivals), arrives on campus in 2013. And with a number of intriguing wideout prospects still interested, they may not be the only ones.
