Kristin Chenoweth released from hospital after Wednesday accident

“Kristin has been released from the hospital and is home recovering,” said Chenoweth's publicist Jill Fritzo. “She thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes.”

Following the accident, Chenoweth was treated by medics at the Brooklyn filming location before being taken to the hospital. A family friend said Chenoweth's parents were flying to New York to be with their daughter during her recovery.

Chenoweth won a Tony Award for her role as Sally Brown in the 1999 Broadway revival of “You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” and an Emmy Award for her work on the television comedy/drama “Pushing Daisies.” This fall, Chenoweth will have a recurring role in “The Good Wife.”

“Chenoweth will match wits with both Alicia (played by Julianna Margulies) and Peter (Chris Noth) in her role as a top-of-her-game political reporter who wants to know more about the Florrick campaign and marriage,” according to CBS.

The Broken Arrow native earned two Emmy nominations for her role as April Rhodes on the popular television series “Glee.” Chenoweth made her Broadway debut in 1997 in the Kander and Ebb musical “Steel Pier.” She has since appeared in the Broadway productions of “Epic Proportions,” “Wicked,” “The Apple Tree” and “Promises, Promises.”
