Hot day in Oklahoma Monday

The temperature will be near 97 degrees in Oklahoma City Monday. Hot temperatures will continue through the week.

There is a slight chance for rain Monday, but the high temperature will be near 97 degrees in Oklahoma City, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m. then isolated showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Partly sunny and hot with a high near 97. South wind 7 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Monday night: Isolated showers and thunderstorms before 9 p.m. Partly cloudy with a low around 73. South wind 10 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 10 percent.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 96. South wind 9 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 73. South wind 6 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 97. South wind 8 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 74.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 98.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 74.

Friday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 99.

Friday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 74.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 99.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 74.

Sunday Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 98.
