Library hosts healthy eating program

The Norman Public Library will host “Eating Healthy on a Budget” at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Lowry Room of the library, 225 N Webster Ave. Brenda Hill with the Cleveland County Extension Service will offer advice on how to plan low-cost, nutritional meals for a family. The program is for people 18 and older. To register, call 701-2620 or go to www.justsoyouknow.us/norman.

Train Days returns to library

The local model train community will hold its annual Train Days presentation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 18 and from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 19 in the Lowry Room at the Norman Public Library. The South Canadian Model Railroad Club and Oklahoma N-Rail will display their model railroads, sets and train cars. Members will be available to answer questions and talk about their collections. Admission is free.
