— The Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce held a reception this week for new teachers at Edmond, Deer Creek, the University of Central Oklahoma and career technology centers.

“It's important for our new teachers to be involved in the community and recognize the tremendous support they have here in Edmond,” said David Goin, Edmond Public Schools superintendent.

The annual reception is designed to introduce the new teachers to people and businesses in the community.
