New teachers in Edmond area are honored at reception

New teachers from Edmond, Deer Creek, University of Central Oklahoma and area career technology centers were introduced to the community at a reception sponsored by the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce.

“It's important for our new teachers to be involved in the community and recognize the tremendous support they have here in Edmond,” said David Goin, Edmond Public Schools superintendent.

The annual reception is designed to introduce the new teachers to people and businesses in the community.

Classes at Deer Creek School District started Tuesday. Edmond students go back to classes Friday. UCO classes begin Monday.
