Small hail, wind gusts expected as storm moves in from northwest

Hail the size of nickels and wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are expected Saturday as a storm system continues to creep into the Oklahoma City metro area.

A storm that produced brief heavy rain across north parts of the state was expected to arrive around 11 a.m., according to National Weather Service of Norman.

The expected high for the day is 85 degrees, with a risk for severe storms throughout the day.

Chances for rain decrease on Sunday.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming east southeast 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 84.
