Last year's Class 3A champion and runner-up moved to 4A this fall, and perennial powers Heritage Hall and Bethany are facing rebuilding years.

Who is the best player in the class?

By the end of the season, we might be talking about Kingfisher running back Landon Nault, and he's close to that level already. Tuttle WR/LB Dawson Cooper and a few others are in the same situation. But Sequoyah-Tahlequah quarterback Brayden Scott is a blossoming star. The Memphis commit is one of the state's best quarterbacks at any level, and he'll keep the Indians in the mix as title contenders.

How far will Heritage Hall fall after losing so many talented players from last season?

It has the look of a down year for the Chargers, but a “down year” for them is a little different. The No. 12 ranking sounds right at this point, but with so many unknowns in the formula, thanks to a high number of talented but inexperienced players stepping into action, the season could go either direction.
