Jenni Carlson: No official timeframe on OU's NCAA waiver request for Jalen Saunders

What is happening with the new OU Network? I thought the OU vs. Florida A&M game was supposed to be on the new network.

I'm not sure what the latest is with the OU Network. I was under the impression that things might be up and running by now. But I'm not sure OU-Florida A&M was ever slated to be on the Sooner Network. I could be wrong about that, but my recollection is that game was always "to be determined" as far as TV. That's how all games are, really.

What's going on with the Saunders appeal to the NCAA? I thought they were supposed to have final word back by this past Wednesday.

Well, I think everyone at OU was hopeful to have a decision already, but the NCAA doesn't set a schedule on when it's going to have these type of decisions made. But I have to think that OU has asked the NCAA if it could have a decision before Saturday's game. Now, whether the NCAA does that is anyone's guess.

How long do you think OSU keeps Lunt in the game tomorrow? Do they leave him in a little longer to get ready for Arizona?

This is an interesting question. We know this is going to be a blowout, so do the Cowboys pull him? I'd say no. Lunt needs to get work in a real, live game. Now, Savannah State is terrible, but that doesn't matter with Lunt. He needs to see a defense in a live game situation, and he needs to get a good amount of work in.

That's even more important with that road game against Arizona. OSU is way better than Arizona, but Lunt needs to get as much experience as he can before going into that game. I suspect he'll play at least three quarters Saturday.
