*Scouting report: Dixon ran for 128 yards and two touchdowns over 14 carries, although the RiverHawks lost a 41-20 season-opening decision to defending NCAA Division II champion Pittsburg State (Kan.) in Tahlequah. Pitt State took the first lead in the game, but Dixon's 46-yard touchdown run about four minutes later kept Northeastern State close. Dixon had a 29-yard TD run in the fourth quarter. He also caught two passes for 46 yards.

*Did you know? Dixon's two TDs against Pitt State matched his season total from 2011, when, as a freshman, he led the RiverHawks with 488 yards rushing.
