Iowa clearly is the dominant football program in its state. Bigger fan base, better tradition, more resources than Iowa State.

But that doesn't mean the Hawkeyes have a better football team. Iowa State won 44-41 in overtime last year at Ames, and since Iowa beat Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl to end the 2009 season, the Hawkeyes are 15-11, with four of those victories coming over Eastern Illinois, Ball State, Tennessee Tech and Louisiana-Monroe. Their Big Ten record is 8-8.

Last week, Iowa trailed Northern Illinois most of the game before rallying for an 18-17 victory.

Iowa State is no behemoth itself, but the Cyclones seem to play this series with a cause. Let's go with the ‘Clones in the upset.
