Spirit League soccer enrollment open in Yukon

Enrollment is under way for Yukon's Spirit League soccer season. People of all ages with a disability are encouraged to play. To register, call or come by the Yukon Parks & Recreation Office. For information, call 350-8937.

— Enrollment for the Yukon Spirit League's indoor soccer season is under way at the Yukon Parks & Recreation Office, 532 W Main.

People of all ages with a disability are encouraged to play.

The four-week league plays on Tuesdays between Sept. 18 and Oct. 9. All games are played at 6:30 p.m. inside Jackie Cooper Gym, 1024 E Main.

Cost per player is $10 for the entire season.

Players have the option each week to play in a five-on-five soccer game or an individual skills competition.

The games are designed to be fun and allow players to enjoy fun and fellowship.

The games are open to all disability levels, including wheelchairs and walkers. Volunteers, called “Buddies,” will be available to assist players on and off the field.

The Yukon Spirit League is a joint effort between Mandi's Ministries and Yukon Parks & Recreation.
