Tragedy hit the Stigler High School football team for the second time in a two-month span.

Gordon Parsons, a senior tight end/defensive end, died after school Friday, according to a Stigler school official. Details of his death were not known Friday night.

The team did not learn of his passing until after its game against Spiro.

Parsons is the second Stigler football player to die in the last two months. Cory Cassinger died July 20 in a single-car accident just outside of Stigler.
