Turkey banquet in Norman

The Feathered Friends Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will hold a fundraising banquet Saturday in Norman.


The Hunting Heritage Banquet will be at the Belmar Golf Club, 1025 E. Indian Hills Road. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $65 for singles and $75 for couples.

DU banquet in Clinton

The Clinton chapter of Ducks Unlimited will hold a banquet Oct. 6 at the Frisco Center.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $35 for singles and $60 for couples.

Sam Gillespie of Oklahoma City set a new lake record for Ponca Lake by catching a 41.6-pound blue catfish last week.
