Ten alumnae Girl Scout leaders rode a float in the Senior Day parade at the Oklahoma State Fair.

The float depicted the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouting.

Leaders riding the float had a combined 376 years of Girl Scouting experience. Among them were Ione Brown and Joan Smith, both of Oklahoma City. Both are Lifetime Members of the Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma. Smith wore the uniform she wore when she became a troop leader in the 1950s.
