Man dies after altercation near downtown Oklahoma City, police said

A man died Tuesday night following some kind of altercation near NW 9 and Classen, Oklahoma City police said. Officers did not know immediately how the man died.

A man died Tuesday night following some kind of altercation near NW 9 and Classen, Oklahoma City police said. Sgt. Tyara Nash said at least two men were involved in some kind of altercation in the area about 7:20 p.m. “We don't know right now whether it's a shooting or a stabbing,” Nash said about 10 p.m. Tuesday. “We know there was some kind of altercation involving two males ... one is now deceased.” Nash said there were no suspects three hours after the call came in. She said the victim's name is being withheld until his family is notified.
