Rain is in the Wednesday forecast for central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely mainly before 7 a.m. Partly sunny with a high near 89. South, southwest wind 13 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Wednesday night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 69. South, southeast wind 7 to 9 mph.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a high near 85. South, southeast wind 7 to 9 mph.

Thursday night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 65. Southeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a high near 79. Calm wind.

Friday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 61.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 79.

Saturday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy with a low around 60.
