Prescription drug roundup is scheduled

A prescription drug roundup sponsored by the Cleveland County sheriff's office will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 6 at Homeland stores at 1251 Alameda St. and 2600 W Robinson St. in Norman and 10700 S Pennsylvania in Oklahoma City, as well as Crest Foods, 1315 N Eastern in Moore. Residents can turn in old prescription medicines for safe disposal.


OU Dance Partners event set

The University of Oklahoma School of Dance will present highlights from the Oklahoma Festival Ballet's recent appearances in Austria at a Dance Partners event set for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 in Room 3002 of the Donald W. Reynolds Performing Arts Center. Participants also will be updated about new acquisitions to the school's Ballets Russes Archives. Dance Partners provides support for the OU School of Dance.

Norman library hosts bilingual story times

The Norman Public Library will mark Hispanic Heritage Month in October with bilingual story times. Story times will be at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 1; 7 p.m. Oct. 2; 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 4; and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 6. The programs in the story time room at the library, 225 N Webster Ave., will feature interactive stories and songs.
