The Fair Tax Act is a comprehensive plan to replace federal income and payroll taxes with a consumption tax on new goods and services. While permitting no exemptions or exceptions, the Fair Tax provides a monthly rebate that ensures each household may consume tax-free up to the poverty level, thereby making the Fair Tax progressive. Contrary to what many people say, under the Fair Tax Act the poor aren't harmed, the middle class see a lowering of their overall tax rate and only those “millionaires and billionaires” pay the full Fair Tax rate. You keep your entire paycheck, free of federal taxes! This is something both sides of the aisle support in their speeches and interviews, yet neither side has embraced it.

Why? It takes power away from government and returns it to the people, something government is reluctant to allow. Luckily, the people control who represents us. So if my representatives don't support returning power to me, I can't support them. The Fair Tax Act is the solution to our problems that we've let government cause.
