NORMAN — Rumble, the Oklahoma City Thunder mascot, and Thunder cheerleaders paid a visit to patients at the J.D. McCarty Center for children with developmental disabilities.

The center at 2002 E Robinson St. staged a “Thunder Appreciation Day” for the children Thursday. The day included visits from the Thunder spirit and cheer squads, games and other activities.
The center provides a comprehensive program of rehabilitative care to Oklahoma's children with developmental disabilities from birth through age 21.
