Energy writers Adam Wilmoth, Jay F. Marks and Paul Monies will join three guests Wednesday morning for a live Google+ hangout on NewsOK.com to discuss energy independence in the U.S.

Wilmoth, The Oklahoman's energy editor, will host the hangout from OPUBCO Studios. Marks and Monies will be joining from wherever they happen to be reporting from onWednesday morning.

Guests participating in the discussion are Steve Agee, dean of Oklahoma City University's Meinders School of Business; Phil Crofts, marketing director of Dillon Transport Inc., an Illinois-based trucking company that is converting its fleet to natural-gas powered trucks; and Troy Jones, a financial adviser for Access Financial Resources in Oklahoma City.

The discussion begins at 9 a.m.
