Marcell Ateman, a wide receiver who has committed to OSU, plans to attend his first Cowboys football game in a couple weeks, but he was busy helping his current team Friday night.

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Ateman had four touchdowns and 114 receiving yards on seven catches Friday night in Wylie (Texas) East's 46-38 win over Wylie High.

He had TD catches of 9, 22, 29 and 42 yards in the victory.

Ateman had planned to attend OSU's game against Texas last week, but instead will be in the stands for the Cowboys' next home game, Oct. 20 vs. Iowa State.

JUNIOR DT LIKES COWBOYS

Hiawatha (Kan.) defensive tackle Peyton Newell is one of the most highly sought-after juniors on Oklahoma State's offer list, and the 6-foot-3, 280-pounder was pleased with his visit to Stillwater last week.

Newell toured the campus and got to visit with defensive coordinator Bill Young.
