Putnam City schools cancel parent meetings

The meetings planned for Monday were postponed after the Oklahoma Board of Education delayed release of A-F report cards.

Meetings scheduled for Monday at 25 Putnam City schools to talk about the state's new A-F school grading system have been postponed, school district spokesman Steve Lindley said.

“The postponement has to do with the decision today by the Oklahoma State Board of Education to delay the release of school report cards. With no final school report cards available to school principals and with the possibility that school grades may change, district officials say it's best to postpone the meetings,” Lindley said.

Information will go out to parents of district students when meetings are rescheduled, Lindley said.
