— The Pioneer Library System Foundation will hold a “Literally Yours” fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 5 at Local, a new restaurant at 2262 W Main St. known for preparing seasonal, locally grown products.

The evening will feature presentations by Milwaukee-based mixologists Ira Koplowitz and Nick Kosevich, who will create and serve signature cocktails paired with a three-course meal prepared by chef Ryan Parrott of Local.

Tickets are $100 each and available through the foundation. Of the ticket price, $50 qualifies as tax-deductible.

The event is a homecoming for Koplowitz, who grew up in Norman. In 2009, he and Kosevich founded Bittercube, a company that features cocktail classes and dinners with themed cocktails.

“Literally Yours” is designed to be an upscale evening to raise awareness and funding for the foundation. Featured book for the evening will be Tobias Wolff's “Old School,” the 2013 Big Read selection.

To order tickets, call 701-7661 or go to http://foundation.pls.lib.ok.us/.
