State softball players to watch: Mustang's Jayden Chestnut, Yukon's Madi Ellis having strong seasons

CLASS 6A

Jayden Chestnut, Mustang

The Oklahoma commit is just a sophomore but is already among the state's top pitchers.

Madi Ellis, Yukon

The Millers' three-hole hitter and catcher leads the team in home runs and has committed to play at Oklahoma State.

Jenna Lynn, Moore

Lynn is 25-1 with a 0.48 ERA and 192 strikeouts in 144 2/3 innings pitched.

CLASS 5A

Madisyn Long, Carl Albert

Long is hitting .452 with 34 RBIs and 26 runs scored for the two-time defending champion.

Haley Wells, Deer Creek

The second baseman is hitting a team-best .484 with 20 RBIs and 46 hits.

CLASS 4A

Shea Coats, Tuttle

Coats has been a big reason for the Tigers' strong finish to the season, dominating in the circle.

Adra Felkins, Oologah

Felkins is 12-0 with 53 strikeouts and an 0.83 ERA.

Tate Landmark, Cache

Landmark is 32-2 with a 1.35 ERA and a .590 average. She leads the team in extra-base hits and steals.
