Student loans shouldn't be given for all degrees

Student loans are a scam between the universities and the U.S. government. Students get loans for any type degree they want, many useless to get a job. However, the loans must be repaid. The universities like these loans because they're paid by the government on behalf of the student. This money is then used to expand, adding buildings and personnel to give more useless degrees. But the poor student is put in debt for many years.

Student loans should be given to students seeking degrees that are marketable and are needed by the country — mainly medicine, law, business, applied science and education. The curriculum of universities should be purged to offer only degrees in those fields. Other students should go to tech schools and learn a trade. According to an official at Meridian Technology Center in Stillwater, he's placed all the students they've trained and employers are asking for more.
